    HAM Radio Classes

    Updates

    The HAM Radio classes introductory session will be held on Sunday 27-Dec-2009.

    The first lecture will start the following Sunday, 3-Jan-2009 at 9:00 am.

    The classes will be held at the Bai BS Bengali Girls High School, Near Churchgate Station, New Marine Lines, for approx. 4 months every Sunday from 9:00am to 1:00pm. (See map below)

    The fees for the course are Rs. 4,900/- only and include:
    * Books & course material
    * 2 day field trip outside Mumbai with food, travel and accommodation
    * Refreshments during classes
    * Morse and Digital Comm. Software CD
    * WPC Examination Fees
    * 5 year License Fees
    * Tuition & Training Fee
    * 1 year associate membership of MARS to participate in all MARS events

    The HAM Radio course is a cake-walk for people with a positive attitude.
    Course Contents as per WPC Guidelines:
    Section A – Radio Theory and Practice (Written Test):
    • Basic Electronics
    • Modulation and Transmitters
    • Demodulation and Receivers
    • Radio Propogation
    • Aerials and Transmission Lines
    Section B – Rules and Regulations (Written Test):
    • Protocols and Procedures
    Morse Code (Practical):
    • Sending and Receiving at 5 w.p.m. and 12 w.p.m.

    We will accept spot registrations for those who are interested to come directly for the classes.
